How we digitized manual forms using low-code technology to yield a 187.99% ROI over three years.

The Challenge

ISL Engineering and Land Services Ltd. (ISL) had several paper-based inspection and acknowledgment forms that required manual entry, leading to long processing and wait times. The client aimed to digitize these manual forms to enhance employee satisfaction and improve the efficiency and transparency of information. Additionally, the client sought to promote the adoption of the Power Platform within the organization by enabling ISL teams to become proficient in using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI through change management efforts.

The Solution

Our Business Applications practice is focused on developing low-code/no-code solutions using the Power Platform. As experts in this field, we created multiple forms within Power Apps-Canvas Apps, enabling ISL to convert all their manual forms into digital versions. This project involved working with Microsoft Sellers to devise a strategy for prioritizing different departments for the development of required apps. Ultimately, we successfully implemented 550 Power Apps premium licenses.

Additionally, we provided training on Power Platform governance, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio to help their staff understand the full potential of low-code/no-code technology.

The Results

The estimated ROI for replacing ISL’s manual form processes with Power Apps forms is approximately 187.99% over a three-year period. The high return suggests that the decision to migrate to Power Apps is financially viable and has the potential to generate significant value for the organization.

In addition to cost savings, there are efficiency gains from reducing manual data entry.
