How we sparked a solution for Special Olympics and helped centralize and organize files for better communication across Canada

Chapters are operated independently as their own companies, which was a challenge for Special Olympics Canada to disseminate information and collaborate to enable process improvement and sports governance. Special Olympics Canada was searching for a partner to provide them with a centralized strategic way of organizing, sharing, and governing the content among the Chapters across Canada with bilingual support and a user-friendly interface simple enough for anyone like the volunteers to use with limited training.

Creospark implemented a solution to modernize and transform how Special Olympics communicates and collaborates with a strong focus on ease of use and end-user experience.

Our company approached this challenge by leveraging SharePoint Online as a document management and content distribution system to store and organize files and distribute the necessary digital communications to the Chapters and Volunteers. Additionally, Creospark used the Valo Intranet to create a digital workplace solution that satisfies the needs of Special Olympics’ external users from disconnected domains so that they can easily access and navigate its content.

The solution extended to include areas for Chapters to upload content to Special Olympics Canada and a direct interface to Teams to allow for them to host meetings, have one-on-one or group chats and collaborate on files.

The solution brought the true meaning and value of Modern Teamwork to life for Special Olympics Canada. Our company helped connect their corporate office with all the Chapters and Volunteers. With guidelines and common governed services like SharePoint Online and Teams, the Chapters and Volunteers now have an intuitive information architecture and user-friendly interface to get the information they need.
