Explore GPT-5 in Microsoft Copilot: Lead the Future With AI
The future of work just got smarter. GPT-5, OpenAI’s most advanced AI model to date, is now live in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, and it’s already reshaping how teams collaborate, create, and make decisions.
At Creospark, we believe technology should work for you, not the other way around. That’s why we’re excited to break down what GPT-5 means for your organization and how you can start using it today.
What Makes GPT-5 Different?
GPT-5 brings a new level of intelligence to Copilot. It doesn’t just respond, it reasons. Whether you’re asking a quick question or tackling a complex challenge, Copilot now uses GPT-5’s real-time router to select the best model for the job:
- Fast answers for simple tasks: Need a quick summary or a list? Copilot uses GPT-5’s high-throughput model to deliver fast, accurate results.
- Deep analysis for complex requests: For open-ended or strategic prompts, Copilot switches to GPT-5’s advanced reasoning model, taking its time to plan, gather context, and deliver thoughtful recommendations.
This dual-model approach mirrors how we work: sometimes fast, sometimes deep, but always with purpose.

Real-World Use Cases
Understanding the true power of GPT-5 goes beyond its features and capabilities, it shines when applied to everyday work scenarios. Let’s say you’re reviewing RFPs from multiple agencies. Ask Copilot to summarize each response, it’ll scan your work data and deliver a clean overview.
Now ask Copilot to evaluate and rank those responses. It’ll recognize the complexity, pull in context from your documents, emails, meetings, and chats, and give you a smart recommendation. That’s GPT-5 in action.
In our recent webinar, From Searching to Asking: A Day in the Life with Microsoft 365 Copilot, we saw firsthand how Copilot helps users like Sarah and Hannah, whether they have a full license or not, get more done with less effort.
Available Now: Here’s How to Access GPT-5
If you’re a licensed Microsoft 365 Copilot user, GPT-5 is already available. Just look for the “Try GPT-5” button in Copilot Chat. Once activated, you’ll get priority access and enhanced performance.
Not licensed yet? GPT-5 is rolling out to all users in the coming weeks. And yes, it’s also available in Copilot Studio, where you can build custom agents powered by GPT-5 to automate more ambitious workflows.
When to Use Researcher Instead
While GPT-5 is great for everyday complexity, Researcher is built for deep, exhaustive analysis. Think board-level briefs, competitive deep dives, and multi-source synthesis. Use GPT-5 for speed and strategy, use Researcher when you need to go all in.
