Getting Started on Teams
Access or create your online classroom anywhere with Microsoft 365 Education and Microsoft Teams
Signing into Teams
Open office.com on your web browser and sign in with your school email and password
Select the Microsoft Teams app
Create a Class Team
Select Teams from the side bar
Select Join or Create Team
Select Class as the team type
Enter a name and optional description for your class, then select Next
On your class channel, select the more options icon, then select, “Add members”
Enter the names of the students you would like to add to the class, then select Add

Easily share files and collaborate with your colleagues using OneDrive. When files are shared, only people you select can access and edit them. Files can always be moved to a team if you want others to view and edit.

Assignments and Grading Using Teams
Creating an Assignment
Select the Assignments tab in the General Channel for your class team. Enter details such as who the assignment is being assigned to, additional resources, due date, and a rubric.
Creating a Rubric
In the Assignments tab select Add Rubric and use the rubric creator to customize your grading criteria.
Select more options and then Open Student Work. This opens the student’s assignment with a Feedback and Points field you can fill in. Enter comments in the document itself and select Return when you are done grading.
View Students Grades
Navigate to the General channel of your class team and select the Grades tab.
OneNote Class Notebook
A private notebook shared between the teacher and each student. Teachers can access every student notebook while students can only see their own.
